Heidi studied for a diploma in Biology at the FU Berlin in Germany, an MSc in Life Sciences at the Weizmann Institute in Israel, and a PhD in neutrophil signalling in France. She did two post docs and had a tenure track position on PI3K targets and P-Rex family Rac-GEFs at Babraham before becoming a group leader in Rac-GEF signalling at the Institute in 2008. Heidi led a research group at the Institute until 2024 and is now an Associate Group Leader at the Institute and a consultant with PlaqueTec, a company based on the Babraham Campus Research.
