Rita studied Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield for both her BSc and MSc degree. Her master’s dissertation focused on the development and analysis of the effects of a novel peptidomimetic in colorectal cancer cells. She specialised in molecular biology, cancer biology and developmental neurobiology. She joined the Flow Cytometry Facility in April 2023 as Flow Cytometry Technician where she assists with housekeeping and maintenance of the facility.
