The bioinformatics group provide biological computing services for the research groups at the institute but also for companies both on site and further afield.
We have a purpose built chemistry laboratory in which we can carry out almost any chemical reaction on a research scale and use analytical facilities on site.
Our state-of-the-art Biological Support Unit (BSU) provides housing and care for pathogen-free rodents used in both the academic scientific research programmes and by private companies.
Our Flow Cytometry facility offers high quality service and state-of-the-art instrumentation to members of the Babraham Institute and companies on the Babraham Research Campus
The Babraham Gene Targeting facility provides a complete service to generate genetically altered mouse strains for Babraham Institute researchers and external investigators.
The Genomics facility provides sequencing and library preparation services tailored to suit a variety of research needs.
The Imaging facility is equipped with state-of-the-art commercial imaging technologies and provides supported access to this equipment, ensuring all users have appropriate training to use the technologies and techniques on offer.
The primary role of the Mass Spectrometry facility is to apply state-of-the-art techniques in mass spectrometry to address important biological questions within the remit of the Institute. We also offer services to Babraham Campus companies.
