Nordin Zandhuis

Nordin graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2016 with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences. His thesis explored the possibility of a Hepatitis C virus vaccine by generating a soluble and stable mimic of the Hepatitis C E1E2 glycoprotein complex and assessing its immunogenicity. During his Masters, he has performed an internship at the NKI in Amsterdam, during which he conducted a CRISPR/Cas9 screen in a NFAT reporter T cell line to identify novel surface immune checkpoints of T-cell activation. Currently, Nordin is a visiting student in the lab of Rahul Roychoudhuri as part of the Erasmus+ program. His work will focus on the interaction of the transcription factor BACH2 with its regulatory targets in T cells.
