Dorottya Horkai

Dorottya was born in Hungary and moved to England in 2007. After completing her A levels, she graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc (Hons) in Animal science. She joined Michael Wakelam’s group at Babraham in 2014, working in the Lipidomics Mass Spectrometry Facility. Her main responsibilities included general maintenance of the laboratory and extraction of lipids from various cell and tissue samples.

She started a PhD in Jon Houseley's group in October 2017.

In her spare time, Dorottya enjoys singing and playing the guitar, but out of consideration she tries to practice when nobody is within earshot. She also enjoys travelling around England and going to the gym (at least for as long as the New Year’s resolution lasts).
