Viral Vectored Vaccines against Influenza

Vaccines are efficacious and cost-effective preventative healthcare measures and a global mainstay in protecting millions from infectious disease. Dr. Lambe’s research interest lies in the development of efficacious vaccines, principally toward influenza and emerging pathogens. Viral vectors have become a vaccine platform of choice for many pathogens that have evaded conventional vaccination approaches. Dr Lambe will discuss the broad applicability of viral vectors as a platform technology with a focus on their use for the prevention of influenza-mediated disease.
