Senior Nursery Nurse (Part-time)

Babraham Nursery was opened in September 1990 and operates from a large house situated in a quiet corner of a residential area in the grounds of the Institute. It has a large enclosed garden with climbing frame, pathways and grassed areas. It accommodates up to a total of ninety children on the Early Years register aged from 6 weeks to 5 years throughout the year and operates a separate holiday club for school aged children during the holidays at the local school.
There is a large team of Nursery Nurses and Nursery Assistants who care for the children as well as staff who provide the meals and administrative support.  A Senior Nursery Nurse leads each of the four base rooms supported by the Deputy Managers and Head of Nursery.  We also have two cleaners who carry out regular daily cleaning.
The Nursery is open all year round except for Bank Holidays and a one-week closure during the Christmas period.
A part-time Senior Nursery Nurse post has arisen within one of our two under 2’s rooms working with children up to two years of age.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead the room and act as part of the Management Team at the Nursery, supporting the Manager and Deputies. The management and leadership of the room will be shared with another Senior Nursery Nurse who will ideally lead at the beginning of the week.
Therefore, preferably, the post holder will work on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8.30am to 6.00pm and on Fridays from 8.30am – 5.30pm, totalling 25 hours per week.

Full details of the position can be found here.
Starting salary is £15,695 per annum to £17,387 per annum depending on experience.
