LIPID MAPS Web Developer


We are looking to recruit a Web Developer to help with the maintenance and development of the LIPID MAPS web portal and associated APIs ( ). 
This role will join the multi-disciplinary team responsible for running and directing the LIPID MAPS project and will be situated within the Bioinformatics group at the Babraham Institute in Cambridge. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining the existing web infrastructure as well as improving and adding to the functionality of the site.
The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree in a computational or biological subject and will be able to demonstrate an ability to design and implement database driven web systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the use of modern web languages as well as knowledge of HTML and CSS.  Previous experience in good programming practises for large projects developed across multiple sites is highly desirable.
Funding for this post is available for five years in the first instance.
