Reporting to the Head of HR, the post-holder is a senior member of the Human Resources team which is currently on a path towards a more strategic and partnering model.  This permanent role provides a professional generalist HR service to the following areas of the Institute:
  • One of three Scientific programmes
  • Administration and Support Services
  • Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation, Public Engagement and Communications
  • Graduate Programme (PhD students registered with University of Cambridge)
In addition, the post-holder will support the Head of HR in a deputising role and in the delivery of key strategic projects.
The successful applicant will be CIPD qualified, have substantial experience of working in a senior generalist HR role and a proven track record of delivering HR projects. Experience of managing visa requirements is highly desirable, as is experience of working in a Higher Education, academic or research environment.  In addition, it is essential that the post-holder has excellent interpersonal skills, is proactive and confident and is self-motivated and adaptable to change. 

Starting salary is £39,005 per annum to £43,342 per annum depending on experience.
