Training

Training

One of the primary functions of the Imaging Facility is to deliver high quality training to Institute and external scientists, providing the knowledge and skills which will enable researchers retain the connection between their experiment and their data. We give training on all of our light microscopes, tissue sectioning equipment and image analysis tools. We can also provide training on techniques relating to electron microscopy including sample preparation, imaging and image analysis.

Training is typically done on a one-to-one basis, where we have discussed a project and identified an imaging or image analysis solution which best addresses the needs of the project. Where appropriate we also conduct training with small groups, although we try and limit group sizes to three people.  Recently we have started running a half day CellProfiler course for larger groups including those from individual companies. Please contact the Facility if this is something that could be of interest to you.
