Dorottya HorkaiDorottya was born in Hungary and moved to England in 2007. After completing her A levels, she graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc (Hons) in Animal science. She joined Michael Wakelam’s group at Babraham in 2014 and currently works in the Lipidomics Mass Spectrometry Facility as the assistant of Qifeng Zhang. Her main responsibilities include general maintenance of the laboratory and extraction of lipids from various cell and tissue samples. She is also very keen to learn more about the running of the facility’s mass spectrometers.
In her spare time, Dorottya enjoys singing and playing the guitar, but out of consideration she tries to practice when nobody is within earshot. She also enjoys travelling around England and going to the gym (at least for as long as the New Year’s resolution lasts).
