Chromatin dynamics in development, health and disease

Changes in chromatin structure, sometimes very dramatic changes as seen in very early development, accompany all stages of mammalian development.

MiceWe employ mouse genetics to analyse the role of chromatin dynamics in normal development, healthy ageing and disease, usually by creating conditional knockout mice.

Recently, we have targeted SWI/SNF-like remodeling factor SMARCAD1 for conditional deletion to study its role in early development, genome stability and its role in the immune system.
