Function and mechanisms of ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling factors

ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling factors are essential components of genome regulation in all life forms and their analysis guides to interesting biological processes, where chromatin dynamics is critical. In eukaryotes several families of such factors are highly conserved from the simple organisms such as yeast to human.

These families most likely represent functional diversity, but for most of the families it is not clear what is their functional specificity. We are using various methods, including genome-wide binding maps, biochemical analysis and live cell imaging to reveal specific functions and mechanisms of these factors. This analysis will reveal fundamental insights into the principles of eukaryotic genome regulation.
