Manuel Diaz-Munoz

Manuel Daniel Diaz Muñoz graduated from the University of Madrid (UAM, Spain) with a M.Sc. in Biochemistry in June, 2003. Later that year, he gained a M.Sc. in Molecular and Cell Biology. In 2008, he obtained his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology after studying the regulatory mechanisms for Cox-2 and mPGES-1 expression in macrophages and its implication during cell activation, migration and atherosclerosis development. This research was performed in the groups of Miguel A. Iñiguez (UAM, Spain) and Professor Manuel Fresno (UAM, Spain), and in collaboration with the team headed by Goran K. Hansson (Karolinska Institute, Sweden). He joined Martin Turner’s group as a postdoc in June 2008 to investigate the role of RNA binding proteins in B cell differentiation and development.
