Saad IdrisSaad graduated from Cambridge University in 2006 with distinction in Medicine and Surgery. He subsequently undertook specialist training as a clinical haematologist at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge while gaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath). His specialist clinical interests lie in the treatment of lymphoproliferative disorders and haematopoeitic stem cell transplantation. As a Wellcome Trust Clinical Phd Fellow his current research in the Okkenhaug lab examines the role of PI3K isoforms in B cell malignancies using transgenic mouse strains. A concurrent project at the Sanger Institute is focusing on examining the immune repertoires in patients with lymphoproliferative disorders using B cell receptor sequencing.
